Academy Lineage
Central Michigan Jiujitsu Academy is affiliated with LEAD BJJ Association under Professor CARL RABIDEAU and Professor DANNY ALVAREZ. They run one of the most successful BJJ schools in Michigan (Palm BJJ) and Texas (Alvarez BJJ) respectively, and have produced multiple IBJJF world champions under their instruction.
Eric Rolston
Coach Eric has over 20 years of experience in both Gi and No-Gi grappling. He is a black belt under Coach CARL RABIDEAU of LEAD BJJ Association as of 2019. Eric was a state placer in Wrestling and continues to be an avid competitor in BJJ, having won several IBJJF tournaments throughout his grappling career. He continues to compete against the best grapplers in the world, and is regarded as one of Michigan’s best.
Sheril Rolston
Coach Sheril has over 8 years of martial arts experience. She started her BJJ journey under Professor DIEGO COLINO of GRACIE BARRA association, and was one of the first women BJJ practitioners at Onyx MMA Singapore. She is now a purple belt under Coach ERIC ROLSTON of LEAD BJJ. Outside of the sport, Sheril has over 12 years of experience as a educator, teaching children and youth ages 4 to 16.
